Clever Sentiments
Postmaster Randall Coe shared these sentiments at no official news of an early retirement package:
My hopes have fallen I realize my fears It
looks like I'll work For two more years No
"buy outs" for me I'll work some more Till old age and senility Comes knocking at my door I'm blessed with my job I want all men to know But
I must admit I was hoping to go
Sheila Williams from Mt. Pleasant replied:
I feel
your sorrow And echo it too I was packing my bags Hoping to be through I'll die on the job No one will mourn No one will thank
us For the burden we've borne Grateful
too For a great career But I have had it Up
to my ears!
Of course Randall had to add:
She is right you know Who
in their right mind Would not want to go I'll
be so old And be so used up That my idea of a strong drink Will be Geritol in a cup
